Actually there is an old version of reporter.txt in the Reporter application directory, but I deleted the copy under mdacomm, because this is superseded by the web-based version, which is more readable. Unfortunately, you won't find the kind of documentation you're looking for in either of these files, and the best information that's currently available is in comments in the programs and the sample meta-file DBC.
Instead of perpetuating the old .txt file documentation conventions, I'm planning to create HTML help pages for Reporter (and all of my other applications). This will allow me to create both a compiled HTML Help file and pages on the web from a single common source.
